Don Erwin is a licensed architect with over 25 years of general practice experience in the design and construction industries. He uses that practical, real-world experience when examining complex matters involving building performance defect causation, construction industry contractual obligations and the standards of professional care. He has been retained by many of the major construction law firms in New York City and throughout the US, and has provided both testifying and consulting expert witness services in more than 200 litigation, arbitration, and mediation matters. He has represented design professionals, building owners, developers, construction managers, contractors, subcontractors and insurance companies in both defense and plaintiff matters.
Sharon Lobo (center)
Sharon Lobo is a licensed architect with over 15 years of experience. With ELB she has developed a growing investigation, litigation support, and construction analysis practice. She regularly has been retained by national insurance carriers to investigate claims for building damage, and is recognized as providing clear and unambiguous findings. Ms Lobo has also been retained by architects and construction management firms to assist in resolving design and construction disputes, and to guide the development of appropriate and proportionate repair procedures. Ms Lobo has provided dynamic and strong leadership in negotiating settlement agreements for Architects and Construction Managers, and fairly enforcing the terms of the agreements during remediation.
Ronald Bielinski (right)
Ronald Bielinski is a licensed professional engineer, registered architect and certified industrial hygienist with over 28 years of professional experience. For seventeen years, Mr. Bielinski was Principal of an environmental consulting firm involved with many significant environmental investigations, and was instrumental in developing standards and procedures for hazardous material remediation that are in use today. He has extensive practical experience in developing and monitoring highly technical testing protocols for a wide variety of materials and in assessing the adequacy of reports provided by other parties. Mr. Bielinski also has extensive experience developing appropriate repair recommendations and repair protocols, and in interacting with local, state, and federal authorities. Mr. Bielinski has been retained as an expert in diverse cases including mold cause-and-origin matters, HVAC system defect claims, wrongful death and poisoning cases.
